Our Saddles – made for long days on the trail

When you ride with us, you spend long hours in the saddle – along narrow mountain paths, through forests, across open highlands.

To make that feel not just comfortable, but truly effortless, we use saddles designed specifically for this kind of riding.

Most of our horses are equipped with Prestige Trekker saddles – built for long-distance riding where comfort and stability really matter. They give you a secure seat, even on steep terrain, while ensuring optimal pressure distribution for the horse’s back.

For our smaller, rounder mountain ponies, we use Massimo trekking saddles, which adapt especially well to more compact body types.

Our equipment is complemented by various Sommer trekking saddles, as well as a number of carefully restored historical military saddles that have proven their reliability over decades.

What truly matters to us:

It’s not just about your comfort – your horse should feel just as good.

Because only when both of you are at ease does that special feeling of freedom and lightness emerge.

Our handcrafted leather saddle bags are always part of the journey.

Everything you need for a day out is right there with you:

  • Front bags: rain gear, food, water bottle, camera
  • Rear bags (on multi-day tours): sleeping bag, clothes, personal items

And just in case, all saddles are fitted with safety stirrups that help prevent getting caught in case of a fall.

Bridles – freedom and connection

We ride mostly bitless, using simple sidepull bridles.

For the horses, this means more freedom and less pressure – and the ability to lower their heads and graze whenever the opportunity arises.

No stopping, no adjusting tack – just a natural flow along the trail.

For you, it creates a calm and direct connection with your horse – subtle, clear, and built on trust.

On the trail – with a pack horse

On some of our tours, a pack horse accompanies us – bringing back a touch of traditional trekking.

Equipped with carefully restored military pack saddles, it carries part of our gear:

large leather bags, tents, and everything we need for several days outdoors.

And the special part:

Our pack horse moves freely with the herd.

It follows naturally – at walk, trot, and canter.

A sight that never gets old.

Nights outdoors – simple and real

On our multi-day rides, we spend the nights outside – surrounded by nature.

We provide practical pop-up tents, which can be set up in seconds.

After a long day in the saddle, you’ll appreciate how quick and easy it is.

Our tents are intentionally simple:

  • reliable in the rain
  • quick to set up and pack away
  • reduced to the essentials

No luxury – but that’s exactly part of the experience.

If you prefer more comfort, you’re welcome to bring your own tent.

Please note: sleeping bag and sleeping mat need to be brought by yourself for hygiene reasons.

Test our comfortable saddles on a trail ride or a horse holiday on our Mountain farm and explore the rural nature.
