Welcome to our trail riding base in the Carpathian Mountains
High up in the Carpathian Mountains of Transylvania, at 1,250 meters above sea level, our trail riding base is set in a remote and unspoiled natural landscape.
Surrounded by wide mountain meadows, forests, and quiet peaks, this is where authentic horse riding holidays in Romania begin – far away from mass tourism and everyday distractions.
From here, we have been guiding trail riding tours in Transylvania for many years – together with our horses, who live freely year-round on the surrounding mountain pastures.
Their natural way of life is an essential part of what makes riding here so special.
We – Csaba from Romania and Katrin from Germany, together with our experienced team – create a place where both horse and rider can feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for.
Our focus is on combining authentic trail riding experiences in the Carpathian Mountains with a high level of organization and reliability behind the scenes.
We have been working successfully for many years with international riding tour operators such as Pegasus, Ruitervakanties, Far and Ride, and Hidden Trails.
We are also an official partner of the German Equestrian Trail Riding Academy (Deutsche Wanderreiter Akademie).
More than just a holiday, this is a true horseback adventure in Romania – shaped by nature, distance, and the rhythm of the horse.
Csaba grew up in Transylvania and has been deeply connected to horses and nature all his life.
For him, working with horses is not a profession, but a way of life.
Over many years, he has developed extensive practical knowledge in horse training, equipment, and care – forming the foundation of our reliable and horse-friendly trail riding operation.
His main focus is on the horses themselves and everything they need to stay healthy, balanced, and ready for long-distance riding in the mountains.
His calm and consistent approach, combined with a deep understanding of horse behavior, ensures that our horses are well prepared for multi-day riding tours in the Carpathian Mountains.
The quality of our riding experience is built on this foundation – through experience, attention, and respect for the animals.
Organization, Guest Experience & VIP Riding Tours
Katrin grew up in southern Germany in a rural environment and has been riding since early childhood. Horses and outdoor life have always been a natural part of her world.
After completing her violin studies, she worked for eight years as an orchestral musician. This background shaped her strong sense of structure, precision, and reliability – qualities that are essential in organizing high-quality horse riding holidays in Transylvania.
In 2017, she moved to Romania and now combines her passion for horses with her love for the mountains and nature.
Katrin is responsible for the organization and coordination of all trail riding tours, guest communication, and the overall guest experience. She ensures that every detail is well prepared and that each stay runs smoothly.
She also regularly rides with guests and leads selected tours, including:
A special focus of her work lies on individual VIP riding experiences in Romania.
These private tours are carefully tailored to the rider’s level, wishes, and pace, creating a calm and personal riding experience in the mountains.
Her work combines organization, experience, and attention to detail – ensuring that every ride is not only well planned, but truly memorable.
Our trail riding guides in Romania come mostly from Western Europe.
We select them carefully to ensure they share our philosophy: a respectful, calm, and horse-centered approach to riding.
Our guides are experienced riders with a strong understanding of horses and group dynamics. They integrate naturally into our team and ensure that guests feel safe, well guided, and supported throughout their riding holiday.
This creates a relaxed and professional atmosphere – for both riders and horses.
Our interns are an important part of daily life on the farm and contribute to the smooth running of our trail riding holidays in Transylvania.
They come from different countries and bring their own experiences, perspectives, and energy to the team.
Working closely with horses, guests, and the daily routines of the farm, they gain a real insight into life on a working trail riding base in Romania.
If you are interested in horses, nature, and outdoor work, and would like to experience authentic life on a mountain riding farm, you are welcome to apply and become part of our team.
